It was one of the worst names ever for a food business on The Strip — GAS, an acronym for Great American Subs.
It operated in the small, square food stand in front of the Cleveland Hotel and next to Joe’s Fun House. The owner used frozen cold cuts for the subs. The shop lasted only a short while.
